Design
Design taps into the emotions that are responsible for 70% of all purchasing decisions. Design thinking embraces the logic of what might be in an effort to create something new and better. Constraints are not something to be avoided, but something that makes a challenge that much more stimulating. I am never content with just making things pretty; I aim to create designs that improve your business.
Marketing
Authentic marketing is not easy. You can’t just push a button or buy some new software and hope that everything’s going to fall into place. You have to do the heavy lifting of getting to know your customers and always stay focused on helping them to achieve their goals. But helping people in this way is a sure-fire secret to putting your brand on a path to success. People are most loyal to the brands that matter to their lives.
Interactive
There is a confusion I sense among web designers who equate fun web graphics with great web design. All too often they mistake style and graphics for design. The challenge of great design is in the effective presentation of your company’s information and owning a place in the minds of your customers. Beautiful graphics should be an integral part of how you get there, but if the end goal isn't to own that space, then graphics are no more than decoration.
Social Media
With social media, the internet has finally fulfilled its promise of making everyone an author. Now, with very little effort or investment, ordinary people can publish their thoughts, share their opinions, and generally bore and annoy a lot more people than they ever could before. For the companies that are savvy at it, social media represents an opportunity to turn your brand advocates loose on the world. As with every other business and marketing initiative, however, it’s important to know your goals before jumping into the deep end.
